I’m always preparing my breakfast in advance so I don’t have to think about what I’m going to eat early in the morning! This recipe is one of my favourite winter morning breakfasts!
SLOW COOKER APPLE PIE STEEL-CUT OATMEAL RECIPE
1 Cup Steel-Cut Oats (certified gluten-free)
4 Cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
2 Medium Apples, Chopped
1 Teaspoon Coconut Oil
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Teaspoon Maple Syrup
Splash of Lemon Juice
Add all ingredients to your slow cooker. Stir. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Give it a good stir. Top with your favourite toppings. You can add peanut butter and fresh chopped apples.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 week.
To re-heat add a splash of almond milk to heat up in the microwave.
